Norma recently retired from the provincial government public service in May 2015 after a career spanning 37 years. After graduating with a Masters in Business Administration from the Université de Moncton, she joined the Council of Maritime Premiers as a project officer in 1979. Three years later, she rewarding career began with the NB Public Service.
Over the years, she held many different positions and worked on a number of high profile issues and challenges facing the Province. Her last assignment with the government ended up being her most personally and professionally rewarding as she took on the challenge of heading the Women’s Equality Branch as the Assistant Deputy Minister which she did for 15 years. Her work spanned areas of women’s personal and economic security. She is now enjoying retirement though continues to be involved in issues of importance to women. |
