Our strategies to achieve our goal

1.  To create awareness of the need for more women in elected office and build support

• by broadly sharing New Brunswick’s current situation and informing citizens of the challenge
• by explaining the immense impact women can have when they hold office
• by setting clear and achievable goals for 2018 , we will see 50% female candidates running for each party in the next provincial election

2.   To encourage women to run (and win!)

• by demystifying what’s involved in running for elected office
• by lending tangible support to interested women across the province who need information & education
• and by creating a network for women to tap into

3.  To build a sustainable infrastructure

• by enlisting the support of party leaders and inviting them to publicly share their party’s support, process and targets
• by inputting to the NB electoral reform process and by working with well-established resource partners who can conduct outreach to ridings and be a continuing source of education for women between now and 2018
